Wallet Structure

Onyx supports account-linked wallet functionality.

Depending on account state and enabled features, you may be able to:

  • create a wallet
  • connect an external wallet
  • recover wallet access
  • fund the wallet
  • review balances
  • use wallet balance for supported payment actions

Wallet support can vary by:

  • supported blockchain
  • supported wallet type
  • backup state
  • recovery state
  • regional availability

Some actions may require wallet backup confirmation before they become available.

Supported Payment Actions

Depending on account eligibility, supported actions can include:

  • receive
  • send
  • swap
  • pay
  • card funding
  • FX conversion

Every action depends on:

  • available balance
  • supported asset type
  • supported chain
  • verification state
  • wallet connectivity
  • regional availability

Unsupported assets, unsupported chains, or unavailable rails can block payment actions.

Receiving Funds

Your account may provide supported receive addresses for eligible assets and chains.

Before receiving funds, confirm:

  • the correct asset
  • the correct network
  • supported chain compatibility

Sending unsupported assets or using the wrong chain can result in failed or unrecoverable transfers.

Some receive addresses may change depending on:

  • wallet state
  • chain support
  • custody configuration
  • recovery state

Sending Funds

Send actions require:

  • available balance
  • supported destination
  • supported chain
  • successful signing
  • wallet readiness

Before sending funds, review:

  • destination address
  • chain
  • fees
  • estimated settlement state

Some transfers can require:

  • additional confirmation
  • signature approval
  • verification refresh
  • account review

Transfers can fail if:

  • balance is insufficient
  • the destination chain is unsupported
  • signature approval expires
  • network congestion interrupts confirmation
  • the transaction exceeds supported limits

Swap And Conversion

Swap and FX features are available only on supported assets and rails.

Before confirming a swap or FX action, the app can show:

  • source asset
  • destination asset
  • quoted rate
  • estimated fees
  • slippage or spread where applicable
  • transaction expiration window

Rates can change before confirmation depending on:

  • market movement
  • liquidity
  • chain congestion
  • provider availability

Some swaps can expire before completion if confirmation takes too long.

Card Features

Card features can depend on:

  • region
  • verification status
  • wallet readiness
  • active account state
  • supported issuer availability

Depending on account eligibility, card areas can include:

  • virtual card access
  • card funding
  • FX-linked spending
  • transaction activity
  • card state management

Card actions can appear as:

  • active
  • frozen
  • pending
  • suspended
  • expired
  • unavailable

Not every supported payment region supports card issuance.

Transaction States

Payment activity can appear as:

  • created
  • awaiting signature
  • submitted
  • pending
  • confirming
  • completed
  • failed
  • cancelled
  • expired

Activity history can also appear as:

  • syncing
  • delayed
  • unavailable

Blockchain confirmation time can vary depending on:

  • network congestion
  • chain conditions
  • provider synchronization
  • wallet connectivity

Verification And Restrictions

Some payment actions require additional verification before they become available.

Verification requirements can depend on:

  • region
  • transaction size
  • payment rail
  • card eligibility
  • wallet recovery state
  • regulatory requirements

Your account can show:

  • verification required
  • verification pending
  • verification expired
  • verification failed
  • account under review

Some payment actions may remain unavailable until verification completes successfully.

Wallet Recovery

Recovery behavior can vary by:

  • wallet type
  • backup state
  • custody model
  • recovery configuration
  • supported chain

Recovery may require:

  • backup confirmation
  • device confirmation
  • identity verification
  • wallet reconnect
  • account review

Some recovery flows can temporarily restrict payment actions until the account is verified again.

What Can Affect Availability

Payment features can become unavailable because of:

  • unsupported region
  • unsupported chain
  • unsupported asset
  • wallet disconnect
  • verification expiration
  • failed backup state
  • provider outage
  • regulatory restrictions
  • account review
  • insufficient balance

The app should show the current restriction before a payment action begins.

Activity And History

Your account can show:

  • transaction history
  • funding activity
  • wallet transfers
  • swap history
  • card activity
  • payment state changes

History synchronization can vary depending on:

  • chain indexing
  • provider availability
  • network confirmation timing

Some activity may appear delayed during periods of high network congestion.
